Title I Information

Volusia County Schools Federal Programs and Title 1

What is Title 1?

Title 1 is a Federal Program that provides funds to help students succeed academically. These funds are used by schools to help students meet the state’s high standards, particularly in the areas of reading, mathematics, and science. A school’s Title 1 status is based solely on the number of students who are eligible for benefits, as determined by the CEP Program/direct certification. Families who wish to be considered for income based services are asked to complete the confidential Income Based Service Request Form.

Mainland High School has been designated a Title 1 school for 2024-25. Availability of these additional funds allows us to provide intervention classes and additional support teachers, tutoring opportunities, additional technology, parent and family workshops, and a student and family resource room staffed with a parent liaison.

Parent and Family Engagement is vital to the success of every student. We value your input and participation as we plan and host family events on campus. Please take a moment to answer (5) questions as we work to plan future events: Family Engagement
