ID Badge

Student ID Badges

Every student is required to have their ID badge visibly displayed at all times while on campus.

Annual cost is $10 and is charged to each student's account automatically

Replacement Fee for lost/duplicate badge is $5 each reprint

Every student who parks a vehicle on campus is required to have a parking tag displayed on their rear-view mirror.

General Parking $30.00
Senior Parking $45.00

Parking Permit Application along with copies of a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance card and payment must be submitted to the Activities Office.

Forms available in the Activities Office and Dean’s Office, and payment made online or by cash to the Activities Office, once approved.

Students will be expected to pay an annual fee of $75.00 for a sport regardless of size of program. If a student will be participating in more than one sport, the cost would be $100.00. Payment can be made through FOCUS.

This fee is not kept by the school and is a District Requirement. More information: VCSEDU/Athletics

Team Dues

Each team may assess an amount associated with participation in the sport - costs vary and may be offset by team fundraising opportunities. Please speak with the appropriate Coach, or the Mainland Athletic Director with questions.

Obligations

"Obligations" are any costs that have been charged to a student account for items such as:

ID badge replacement, lost/damaged laptop, textbooks, team dues, etc.

Obligations are required to be paid in full BEFORE a student may participate in many school events, including graduation. Please contact the Activities Office, Mrs. Rogers, to verify any obligation amounts.

Do I Owe any Books? (Textbooks, Computers or Library materials)

Students can see their own checkouts and fines in Destiny for both library, computers and textbooks. Log into Destiny through the VPortal.

Click on the three lines in the upper left corner.

To view textbooks, resources, and library books that are currently checked out that need to be returned, select checkouts. You can choose between All Checkouts, Library, or Resources. To view overdue textbooks, resources, and library books or fines for damaged materials, click on fines. You do not owe the dollar amount listed under fines if you have the undamaged book to return.

To make a payment for a lost or damaged book, go back to the online school payment system on the school website listed above. Instead of clicking on obligations, click on OTHER PAYMENT. Choose your student account, and Mainland High School. For Obligation Type, select Lost Library Book or Lost Textbook. Enter the dollar amount you found listed in Destiny. Under describe obligation, please put the title or titles you are paying for. When you are done, please send an email to Mrs. Stumpf so that she can make sure remove your obligation from inside Destiny.
