COSMETOLOGY PROGRAM (coming soon!): The Cosmetology program is a great option for students starting their freshman year because it allows them to explore creativity, build confidence, and gain valuable career skills early. The program teaches hands-on techniques in hair, makeup, skincare, and nails while also developing communication and professionalism. Beginning as a freshman gives students the opportunity to earn hours toward their cosmetology license before graduation, providing a head start on a rewarding career in the beauty industry.
DIGITAL DESIGN: This program teaches students how to create artwork and visual content using computers and modern software. In this course, students learn the basics of graphic design, animation, web design, and digital illustration while exploring how color, layout, and typography work together to communicate ideas. The program blends creativity with technology, giving students hands-on experience with tools used by real designers. By the end, students gain practical skills that prepare them for careers in design or further study in fields like digital art, game design, or media production.
DIGITAL VIDEO PRODUCTION: This course provides students with an introduction to the digital video production process; content includes safe work practices, planning a production set, designing lighting plans, camera operation, and audio/ video recording, mixing, and editing.
GAME AND SIMULATION: This course is designed to introduce game and simulation concepts and careers; the impact game and simulation has on society and industry; and basic game/simulation design concepts, such as rule design, play mechanics, and media integration. This course compares and contrasts games and simulations, key development methodologies and tools, careers, and industry-related information. This course also covers strategies, processes, and methods for conceptualizing a game or simulation application, storyboarding techniques, and development tools. Hands-on activities using an entry-level game development tool will result in the creation of a playable game.
