Sierra:              A message from our Athletic Director:

Antonee:      Hello students of Mainland High school.  Are you

interested in playing a sport and earning a varsity letter

while in high school?  Well keep listening because we’ve

got everything you’ll need to know and more!!  The first

thing you’ll need is a sports physical.  There are physical

packets located in the front office and also in the athletic

training room.  Once those packets are completed, turn

them in to Mrs. Butler (formerly Miss Walker) or Miss

Dickinson in the athletic training room before or after

school.  After you’ve turned in your packet you’ll be able

to try out and practice with any athletic team o campus.

In order to play on the team you must maintain a cumulative

GPA of 2.0 and pay your $75 pay to participate fee.  Those

fees can be paid on the school webstore or you can pay Mr.

Monahan in the athletic director’s office or Mrs. Venezia in

the book keeping office.

Angel:        Now if you’re not into playing sports but don’t want to miss

any of the action you can purchase a student athletic pass for

only $35.  This pass will get you entrance into all Mainland

high school home games not including playoffs.  You can

cheer for your buccaneers and save money!

Jennifer:    Any other questions about athletics please see

Mr. Monahan in the athletic director’s office located in the

gym.

Sierra:       Once again with this week’s quote:

Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.

Antonee:     Today’s news is brought to you by the Student Government

Association.

Angel:          And as always remember, Buc Pride Never Dies!
