SGA turned in the food items collected over the past few weeks, at the Speedway early this morning…. We want to thank everyone who participated in this community service project! Mainland collected over 1,700 food items!! I’d like to now announce the runners up and the winner of the SGA-sponsored contest for the donut party…… 3rd place, Mrs. Clifford’s class. 2nd place Major Migliorianzi and Master Sargeant Garthwaite’s class, and the winner, Mrs. Bray’s class! Congratulations!
This past Friday DSC held their annual “ShORES” environmental science symposium. Mainland’s own Kiera Smith won second place- beating out students from Bethune-Cookman, UCF, Stetson, and more- for her proposal to determine healthy water conditions for dolphins in the Indian River Lagoon. WAY TO GO, KIERA!!
There will be a TEAMS Junior Engineering competition meeting Mrs. Dodd’s room 2-222 today during the 2nd half of lunch. If you are interested in a group oriented competition in the STEM field to add to your resume, stop by and check it out!
Attention boys bowling team members: there will be a mandatory meeting in Coach Monahan’s office during lunch today.
Seniors: Cap and gown orders tomorrow and Wednesday during lunch in the Hall of History. All seniors required to purchase the cap, gown and tassel package for $65.00. You may also purchase online at Jostens.com or you can call 1-800-JOSTENS.

ASIM students—if you are planning to do dual enrollment in January, Mr. Neill is welcoming paperwork up through December 15th. So, ASIM students—get your dual enrollment paperwork to Mr. Neill by Friday, December 15th!
Do you need to submit volunteer hours? Make sure you complete your YPP training first! YPP Training is available in Resource Room 1-238 or on line at mainlandhighschool.org. Train on your own time, then see Mrs. Carr in the
Resource Room to receive your 1 hour training credit and to submit volunteer hours.
Underclassmen picture order deadline has been extended until Wednesday, December 20. Turn in order forms in the main office. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Gardner in room 1-328.
The Buc Shop is now officially open! Location is Mr. Wingate’s classroom 2-108. The store has been completely revamped with a more diverse stock and many more improvements on the way. The shop will be open between classes, during buc break and lunch.
Candy grams are on sale today through Friday, December 8 for just $2.00 during lunch in the courtyard. Candy grams will be delivered during 4th period on Monday, December 11.
Yearbooks are now on sale for $60 until December 29. Personalization is $6 and personality icons are $3.00. For more information see Mrs. Gardner in room 1-328.

Attention all athletes, and people who enjoy staying hydrated: The Athletic Training Department is selling Gatorade squeeze bottles for ONLY $5 in the Athletic Training Room 2-104 before school, Buc break and during lunch!
