FFEA provides a forum for students to become aware of career opportunities in education and nurtures their interest in teaching as a career. It also provides an avenue for members to stay informed of the latest issues and advancements in the education profession.
The MHS chapter encourages members to explore traditional and unique careers in education. These careers include teachers, coaches, principals and other teaching professionals. These professionals may include artists, musicians, writers, and anyone who uses their talents to educate others.
The student bodies in America’s schools are becoming more diverse. The world is becoming smaller and more technologically advanced. Educators are going to need to be versatile, well-rounded, knowledgeable and engaging in order to prepare the next generations for world citizenship. The club will prepare you to become teachers of the future, but you will also participate in fun activities and meet other aspiring teachers from all over the county. We will also identify college scholarships for our club members and will actively support initiatives to assist the teaching profession; adequately staff, resource, and fund our schools and classrooms; and ensure that students have equal educational opportunities.
