The girls golf team finished their regular season last week with a 28 stroke win against Seabreeze 233-261. Yesterday the girls played in their district tournament. Claire Albrecht and Samantha Whiting advance to the regional tournament next week. Claire had the low round of the day with a 69, Samantha had a good day with a 101. Brooke Gandy had her best match of the season. Good luck in regionals next week Claire and Samantha!!

Art club will meet this afternoon in room 2-128. See Ms. Wise for more information.

Attention Class of 2018: Valdosta State University’s FREE Application Week is October 14th-22nd. That’s right it is FREE to apply!! If you apply on one of those dates October 14th-October 22nd, there will be NO application fee. After October 22nd, the $40 fee will be required to submit the application. Please apply at www.valdosta.edu/apply. If you have any questions stop by the Resource Room and speak with Mrs. Carr.

Seniors: if you missed the cap and gown orders this week, Jostens will be on campus today and tomorrow during lunch in the Hall of History. All seniors required to purchase the cap, gown and tassel package for $65.00. Jostens will make a payment plan so please, see them this week.

Juniors: Class ring orders with Jostens during lunch today and tomorrow during lunch in the Hall of History.

There is a TSA meeting tomorrow room 2 132 during lunch. If you are interested in technology and technology competitions please come out. Current members please bring a friend!

There is a SEEB meeting Thursday 2-132 during lunch. We will be registering for the National Society of Black Engineers so please plan on attending.

Soccer tryouts continue today and tomorrow and (we train in the rain). If you are interested in playing the world’s most popular sport come on out. Practice starts at 3:15 and ends at 5.

Attention Seniors Only: The ASVAB will be Thursday Nov 16 at 12:20 pm in the MPR. Sign up in the resource room 1-238 with Mrs. Carr or with Major Miglioranzi in room 2-228.

Homecoming Dance tickets are now on sale in the Activities and Bookkeeping office before and after school and during lunch. $20.00 in advance, $25.00 at the door on Saturday. In order to purchase a ticket, all $10 id fees must be paid. Guest permission forms due to the Deans Office by Wednesday. If you’ve turned in a form, please stop by the deans office to make sure your guest has been approved. Students may buy tickets for the guest beginning Thursday.

Homecoming Spirit days start now! Today: Tie Dye Tuesday, tomorrow: Character day (dress like your favorite character). Thursday: Rep Your Class: Seniors: camo; Juniors: Hawaiian; Sophomore: Opposing team colors-red and black; Freshmen: Freshmen class shirt and Friday: Blue and Gold Day.

Homecoming Carnival is this Friday! We are on a Carnival bell schedule. Your teachers have a copy. All students will be dismissed at 12:45pm for lunch and carnival. The cafeteria will be open from 12:45-1:15pm. Lines will close down at 1:15pm.

Attention all athletes, and people who enjoy staying hydrated: The Athletic Training Department is selling Gatorade squeeze bottles for ONLY $5 in the Athletic Training Room 2-104 before school, Buc break and during lunch!
