Mainland Swimming

Things to Know…

About Swimming!

Swimming is a fall sport that begins right with the beginning of school.  The season is 13 weeks long and practices are after school from 3-5 Monday through Friday.  Meets are typically during the week after school with a few that are on the weekend such as championships and a few invitationals.

About Mainland’s Program!

Mainland Swimming is a growing, competitive program that is returning many seasoned athletes and hoping to attract a few new swimmers to the program.  Experience is not necessary.  Some of the top swimmers in the conference had never taken a competitive stroke before this year.  Several of our athletes are swimming college scholarship times after just two or three years of hard work with our program.  Swimmers get to keep their sweats, suits and caps and T-Shirts!

About Being a Swimmer!

Swimming is an excellent exercise and since it is a non contact sport, there is a diminished injury potential.  Swimmers are typically in the top 25% of their class and excel both in and out of the pool.  They understand goals and hard work.
